In physics when an external force is applied to the surface of any material or a body the material undergoes a physical change or deformation. These vary widely in chemical structure and application and all of them synthetic except for natural. Although both are polymers plastic and rubber differ because. In rubber the elastic force is due to the thermal interactions of the molecules within the material.
